New Activities Scheduled (March 2017)

"American Women" is a continuing series from Sue Nelson. Sue has identified more than 100 American women that she will research for this project. This month we will consider Mae Jamison. If you do not recognize the name, Mae was the first African American woman in Space. Learn how she became and how she handled the stress of being an astronaut. First Baptist Church (FBC) on March 23rd at 1pm.

HEALTHY YOU at Brookdale Imperial Plaza on March 22 at 11am will focus on "You and Your Allergies" with Dr. Asena Madison, of the Bon Secours Health System. Get good information before the spring allergies hit. Advance registrations requested please call 353-3171.

Senior Life Planning, a Series. The business of life includes decisions about how we want to live when we are not as healthy as we want to be and maybe in need of care. In March, we will examine Trusts and Estate Planning Options with guest speaker, Tim Hastings, of the T. A. Hastings Law Firm. Barry Green will lead this series and have professionals join him from time to time to talk about the details. March 21st at 2pm at Battery Park Christian Church. In April we will discuss Power of Attorney documents, their significance in life planning.

Membership Meeting. 2nd Friday of each month at BPCC at 10am. Discuss what is on your mind.

Volunteer Meeting and Luncheon. March 29th at 10am. Learn about new volunteer options and see what folks have been doing at the Senior Center for a while now. By invitation and registration ONLY.

Travel Club. Three travelers to New Orleans will share their experiences at the March Travel Club. March 16th at 1pm entitled "New Orleans - Uncovered with a Panel of Travelers".
