Thomas Jefferson Tour on September 14th

Our Charlottesville trip has open seats on our luxury coach. This tour focuses on Thomas Jefferson starting with his University, University of Virginia, at the Rotunda and Academic Village and then moves to Monticello for lunch and a tour of Jefferson's home. Following a guided tour of the home, participants can choose to take a Walking Slavery Tour, a visit to the Gardens or related films in the Welcome Center.

It’s Happening at The Senior Center of Greater Richmond (July 2015)

The Senior Center of Greater Richmond is 55 years old and we are having fun.  If you are not familiar with us, we have programs at different locations in the Greater Richmond area and we are open to Seniors 50 and up.  Our seniors are independent and active.   Here is a just a taste of our July programs and on the back, you will find a list of some of the optional travel and learning programs we have available. And, there is more to come.

Senior Center Interest Groups - Photography

Our first meeting of the Photography Interest Group met in May and members are actively trying out their new skills. Members talked about the things they liked to photograph and what they would like to accomplish. Richard Toppings, our Photography group leader, shared some of his experiences about finding things to photograph and composing the planned photo. Richard, a retired photojournalist, asked members to bring some of their digital photos to the next meeting to share.
