On May 9th at 12 noon, you can join us to enjoy lunch and talk about the “Things You Want to Do”. We all need a Dream List of things we want to do…and it is important that we keep the list updated. When you cross one goal off as accomplished, you need to replace it with another. Tell us a few of your goals and we will share some of ours. It is a Lunch and Share about our goals and dreams
This trip will take more than 50 members to Hampton on a deluxe coach for a full afternoon of salt water fishing on the Ocean Eagle from 12:30 to 5:30pm. Rods and bait will be furnished, your hook will be baited for you and your fish removed for you by a bait person.
Members can submit digital photos of Senior Center Activities for a Center Competition. Up to 3 digital images may be submitted by one member each month to the Center Coordinators for competition at a Center level (the Regional Center and the East Center will be judged separately).
The seniors at PPDC were involved in a plethora of activities to celebrate “Black History Month”. A visit was made to The Maggie Walker House on Leigh Street. The tour of the Museum was proven to be very knowledgeable to the seniors. The day was culminated with a delicious soul food lunch of chicken and catfish at Mama J’S Kitchen located not very far from the Maggie Walker House. (See photo in Senior Snaps)
The Senior Center of Greater Richmond has announced two community events in the Richmond area in 2016. These events are free and open to any regional seniors who register in advance.
Our walking group will gather at Battery Park before the regular activities begin and get in a walk. Uvonne Andoh, who is working on her Masters at VCU, will be joining them each morning to help us set goals and meet them. If you want to walk, inside or out, join us to get on the right track.
