Joan Galimore, has been working on her conversational Spanish with Lisa Zajur in workshops at the Senior Center for many months. She also completed more intense workshops at the Institute of Spanish Language and Culture at the Spanish Chamber of Commerce.
"Try Us Out" happens at the Senior Center every month. We have a presentation open to new members and to folks who just want to find out more about our organization. On the First Friday of each month we offer "Try Us Out" at Battery Park Christian Church at 4201 Brook Road in the Fellowship Hall. Visitors can park behind the church at the far end (north end) of the parking lot and enter through the double doors.

New members can find out more about the opportunities at the Senior Center through this Try Us Out presentation. Bring your friends. It is free and open to all. Join us for lunch and meet other Senior Center Members.
Active Aging describes so many of our Senior Center of Greater Richmond members, we should be called Active Adult Opportunities Network. During the week of September 25th we will join the Age Wave Initiative in the Richmond Region to celebrate Active Aging at it's best. Remember the classic cars of the 1950's. They never left Cuba. With an embargo in place, no cars have been imported from the US since 1959, so these Classic Cars of Cuba have been maintained and individualized by their owners for the past five decades. Nikki Nicholau will share her Cuban experience with you Friday, Sept. 2nd at 10am at Battery Park Christian Church.
